Arnold Hoskins, President of the Norwich & District Society of Model Engineers, will tell us about the miniature railway in Eaton Park.Eaton Park, opened officially by the Prince of Wales in May 1928, celebrated its 80th anniversary on Sunday 15 June. The sun shone and about 2000 people came and tried out golf croquet, cycle speedway, bowls, five-a-side football, line-dancing, model boating, railway rides, and music on the bandstand with Kontinko, the African drumming group, and Sillars Light Orchestra. The Lord Mayor arrived with the Whifflers and standard bearers, and Snap the Dragon. There'll be some photos soon.
