You may save yourself time by looking here first.

How do I book a room in the Community Centre?
Please ring Liz Davies on 01603 504420. There is no office for the Community Centre and no email facility for this purpose.

How can I/we join Friends of Eaton Park?
You can download an application form here or email info@friendsofeatonpark.co.uk to request one.

What does it cost to join Friends of Eaton Park?
We would be delighted if you join us in helping safeguard this lovely park. You can pay what you like. We suggest £5 or £10 a year but we are happy to receive any amount, great or small!

Who can I contact about something I’ve lost in Eaton Park?
Friends of Eaton Park does not have an office and we don’t hear about found items. Lost Property should be handed in at the grounds depot in the top car park but it is sometimes handed into Café Essence in the pavilions and kept there for a time. If you have lost something please go to the depot and/or the cafe or phone 0344 980 3333 and leave a message for Parks and Open Spaces. We will ask if it has been found. The police station at Bethel Street also takes lost property so try there also or phone 0845 456 4657.

Can I advertise my group on the noticeboards?
Provided your group meets in the park or in the Community Centre, we will put up a poster on each noticeboard (2) - no larger than A4 please! Email info@friendsofeatonpark.co.uk to find out where to deliver it.

How do I book a sports pitch?
Ring 0808 168 0149.

How can I book for the pitch and putt?
You do not generally have to book for the pitch and putt - just turn up (more information on the Sports and Facilities page of this website - see link at left). If you wish to bring a large group then please phone 0344 980 3333 as soon as possible with the date and time and numbers in your party. Norwich City Council can then ensure the Grounds staff have enough clubs and balls and sufficient change. It is also possible to make payments by cheque in advance if it has been pre-arranged.

Where can I find prices for the hard tennis courts and bowling green?
Go to the Sports and Facilities page of this website (see link at left) where there are links to the prices at the top and bottom of the page. Or click here to visit the Sports Charges section of the City Life website.

Can we have a BBQ in Eaton Park?
The Council does not allow barbecues in any of its parks or open spaces.

Do we need permission for a small party in Eaton Park?
For a small party with your friends and family, you do not have to ask permission either from us or from the Council as it would be regarded as normal use of the park. However the party holder is responsible and may wish to acquire risk assessments and public liability insurance. If you are going to have more than fifty people then the party becomes an event and the park will need to be hired. This can be done through the Events team on 0344 980 3333 or through the Council Services website.

Can we have a burger van/ice cream van/other food provider?
Generally not unless it is an event organised through the Events office.  Click here to download the relevant document (from the Council’s website), or ring 0344 980 3333 or email events@norwich.gov.uk
Additional food concessions in the park may only happen for a specific event and it would need to be booked and paid for in advance. No others are allowed any other time because Café Essence has the sole lease for the park. If you wish to arrange food in the park then please contact them and they will try to accommodate you. Alternatively bring a picnic or go to the local shops on Colman Rd.

How do we organise a large event in Eaton Park?
For larger and/or organised events, you should apply to the Council Events department.  Click here to download the relevant document (from the Council’s website), or ring 0344 980 3333 or email events@norwich.gov.uk

Is there a phone number for the café?
There is no phone number for the café but we’re working on it!

Can we get married in Eaton Park?
Norwich City Council does not have a licence to hold marriages in the park.

When are the bands playing in Eaton Park?
As soon as we have dates for the band bookings, they are posted on the What’s On page. You can also see them by looking on the  'Concerts' page of the Norwich City Council website.
